Aimee graduated with a BSC (Hons) in Sport Science and then went on to complete a MSC in Food and Applied Nutrition. She then worked as a research associate for the Human Nutrition Research Centre in Newcastle. Although, enjoying research she wanted to work in a more patient centred environment and went on to complete a PGDip in Dietetics.
Aimee is an experienced Dietitian and has been working in the NHS for over 10 years, and is currently employed by York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. She leads on the bariatric (weight loss) and surgical services. Aimee has presented at national conferences and is a published author in the British Journal of Obesity.
She is fully registered with the Health and Care Professionals Council, a member of the British Dietetic Association and British Obesity and Metabolic Surgery Society.
In her spare time Aimee is passionate about health and fitness, which allows her to translate theory into practice.
